Chef De Partie

Set in the heart of Surfers Paradise and on the doorstep of the famous Surfers Paradise Beach, The Island Gold Coast boutique hotel is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef De Partie to join our team. 

This position's roster includes weekend and evening hours.

Skills and Experience

• Liaise with the Executive Chef on menu planning, budgets, wage analysis.
• Ordering food and store supplies to required.
• Enjoy working in a busy environment with a true passion for Italian cooking.
• Follow venue menu planning for preparation and cooking.
• Strong knowledge of preparation and presentation.
• Confident if filling breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.
• A keen eye for detail and a positive and proactive approach
• Strong and detailed business acumen for kitchen operations
• Proven ability to lead by example and foster a creative and organised environment where team members take pride in their work.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Motivated, with a drive to challenge yourself daily and deliver the very best.
• Mentor staff and apprentices

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma / Diploma
• 3 years relevant experience in a busy restaurant
• Food Safety Supervision Skill Set
• Food Handling Skill Set

The position has an annualised salary of $70 000 per annum plus superannuation.
