The Team behind Yugen Tea Bar and LK Hospitality are looking for the newest additions to our growing Pastry chef team. This exciting opportunity will be in the Capitol Grand building on the iconic Chapel Street, truly unlike any venue in Melbourne.
We will be celebrating the beauty of hand-crafted patisserie, offering a bespoke afternoon tea and patisserie range during the day and transition to a unique and modern dessert bar in the evening.
The Opportunity:
An exciting chance to be part of a growing business with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Join us as we make our stamp on Melbourne’s patisserie and dining scene. You will be exposed to a range of mind-blowing flavours and produce. Cutting edge techniques from chocolate and sugar work to bespoke plated desserts, lamination, bon bons, ice creams and more.
You will be part of a small and intimate service where we create truly show stopping desserts!
The Team:
You will be part of a dynamic team with years of industry experience that are forward thinking, ahead of the curb and passionate. Ranging from bakeries and patisseries to Michelin star restaurants of the world.
The right Candidate will have:
- At least two years’ experience at a similar level
- An appreciation for the beauty of patisserie
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills with proven and current experience leading a diverse kitchen team
- Great attention to detail
- Thirst for knowledge
- Passion for making items from scratch
