Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organise and plan the preparation and cooking of food;
- Ordering food supplies, plan menus, estimate labour and food costs;
- Preparation and presentation control at all stages and monitoring the quality of food;
- Preparation and cooking of food;
- Be involved with the selection and training of staff;
- Partaking in discussions of food preparation issues with Head Chef, other chefs, Management, and other staff;
- Enforcing and explain hygiene regulations;
- Advising on cooking procedures and demonstrating techniques;
- Preservation and freezing of foods.
About you:
- 2+ years work experience working in kitchen setting;
- Experience working within Yakitori restaurant is desirable but not mandatory;
- Proven experience working with both meat and seafood;
- Understanding of food hygiene including knowledge of allergies.
- Experience working as part of a team with can-do attitude.
- Ability to work in faced paced dynamic work environment.
