About the role
We are searching for a full time dedicated Chef Manager to work at our client's Residential Aged Care facility located in Lavington, NSW. This is a well equipped Aged Care facility in the peaceful Albury suburb of Lavington.
- Permanent full time role.
- Relocation fees and rental assistance will be considered for the accepted applicant.
- Attractive hourly rate in addition to weekend and public holiday penalties.
*The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current NDIS/Police Check, or be willing to apply for one*
Key attributes and responsibilities
- Previous hospitality experience is essential. Aged care experience will be an advantage
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role
- Commercial cookery background or Hospitality Industry Qualification desirable
- Demonstrated and proven budget and cost management experience.
- High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
- Previous experience in the design and implementation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate menus specific to Aged Care
- An understanding of the Aged Care legislation and Accreditation standards
- Empathy towards residents, staff and clients.
- Ability to lead the kitchen team.
- Produce high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with Aged Care food service guidelines.
- Be responsible for rostering and day to day supervision/management of team members.
- Menu design and implementation and computer literacy
- Have reliable transport.
