The Purple Pub is a famous icon in the outback of NW Qld.
WE QUALIFY FOR 2ND YEAR VISA IF STAY FOR 3 MONTHS.
We are 700 km west of cairns and 70 km east of Karumba. It is accessible by sealed road for car or bus and by plane. You will see plenty of kangaroos, cattle on the roadsides and crocodiles in the rivers.
We are open for lunch and dinner each day. We are a happy family pub with Karaoke each second saturday and pool competition each thursday night.
We provide for staff onsite airconditioned accommodation with its tv, fridge and meals FREE.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced self motivated CHEF or COOK with experience
To be successful in this role, you must have a high level of customer service, time management and coordination skills. You will be hands-on in your approach and thrive on achieving outstanding results with the team. You will have passion for delivering quality food..
Opportunity to assist in other areas of the pub such as bar or bottleshop
Your responsibilities include.
- Preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with food and service standards.
- Ensure the kitchen is kept to a high standard by providing a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation and delivery of meals.
- Promote a safe, secure environment for staff and patrons.
- THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE--
- Not necessary trade qualifications but relevant experience
- Sound knowledge of food safety
- Positive attitude and professional manner
- Must have at least a years relevant work experience
