Parkerville Tavern is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed chef to fit in with our current long-established team.
Parkerville Tavern is a well-known destination venue in the Perth Hills. The pub is busy at weekends with functions, large group bookings, and live music. We produce good quality, honest pub food with a range of vegetarian and vegan options. The Parkerville Tavern prides itself on hard work with a healthy lifestyle balance, we foster an enjoyable workplace with the values of mutual respect & integrity.
The tavern is a 40 min drive east of the city in the Perth Hills. There is very limited public transport so you must have your own reliable car.
Chef duties include:
- Collaboration with the Head Chef on all aspects of kitchen operations;
- Leading and actively participation in meal service;
- Contribution of ideas weekly for food specials;
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, preparation and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Manage inventory (heavy lifting involved), stock rotation;
- Regular cleaning of all work and food storage spaces to maintain food hygiene standards;
- Foster a supportive, enjoyable and positive working;
- Maintain flexible working hours to meet the operational needs of the Parkerville Tavern which is open 7 days a week, including public holidays.
What we're looking for:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent;
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate looked on favourably;
- 1 years’+ experience in a busy, fast paced pub, brewery or similar;
- Ability to work 30+ hours over 4-5 shifts per week including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Full working rights in Australia.
