The Spice Route Gourmet is seeking an enthusiastic & experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to join the fantastic team.

We require an Indian Chef with a professional and committed approach, who enjoys working in a dynamic and productive team environment. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in preparing & cooking authentic Indian Food.

Qualifications & experience

• Cert iii or cert iv in commercial cookery
• Must have relevant 2 years work experience in High paced environment.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Monitoring quality of dishes, preparation and presentation
• Discussing food preparation issues with Head chef, kitchen and waiting staff
• Ordering of Stock
• Have the interest in quality produce and menu ideas.
• Be fast, efficient and work able to work well under pressure
• Have effective communication skills Work within the requirements of food safety, food handling as required
