We are looking for experienced cooks and chefs with a current Working with Children Check to represent Sidekicker at Educational facilities as well as our country's finest hotels, catering companies and private events.
In Toowoomba, we currently have 5 Shifts per week available from 11am - 7pm!
What's Sidekicker you ask?
Sidekicker is home to Australia and New Zealand's friendliest and hardest-working workforce, known as Sidekicks. We offer many unique and exciting shifts to Sidekicks every month in hospitality, promotions, events, business admin, and retail/warehousing which can all be found and applied for via an easy-to-use mobile app.
As a Sidekick, you get to choose WHEN and WHERE you work, meaning you have complete control over your hours. Work as much or as little you'd like.
What you'll have:
- At least 6 months of experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Experience in multiple areas of the kitchen such as butchery, poultry, seafood, pastry, salad, canapes, stocks and sauces and/or breakfast
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Experience in dish presentation, financial management and kitchen admin is a plus but not a requirement
- Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain directly
Your duties may include:
- Work alongside existing chefs, catering assistants and kitchen hands
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Good understanding of food allergies
- Ability to make adjustments to food items for guests with specific diet concerns
- Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
