This role is accountable for a variety of activities including the development of regional plans, forecasting of future workload and inventory requirements and repair parts to support the sustainment and acquisition of materiel logistics.
The role is responsible for:
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with policy, processes and procedures to support the sustainment of Defence equipment.
- Providing responses to complex correspondence, briefs and reports for delegate consideration.
- Managing budgets in support of various fleets of Defence equipment.
- Collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve materiel logistics issues and the application of expertise and initiative to identify alternate courses of actions is a key part of each role.
JLU(V) is an integrated military, civilian and commercial contractor unit that delivers logistics services to the Department of Defence that is driven by a ‘one team’ approach.The role forms part of a regional sustainment team that is responsible for managing items of supply on behalf of stock owners.
