SalaryWe are looking for a competent and qualified Chemical Engineers to join our team at our headquarters in Roma QLD.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Using cement engineering knowledge, mix and test materials and chemicals for critical processes including slurry calculations, well design/conditions and pumping procedures according to client requirements and specifications
- Determine solutions to client specifications and advise on alternatives to cementing products as necessary
- Develop programs and design reports to ensure efficiency and accuracy of operations
- Devise formulae and prepare reports in accordance with client requirements and specifications
- Develop cost estimates relative to volume calculations of slurry and well conditions
- Develop processes, procedures and work instructions for cementing IP and jobs
- Develop programs according to client needs and provide technical support to clients as required
- Promote and adhere to HSE which includes ensuring personal compliance with legislation and safe work procedures. Foster a high level of safety awareness by leading by example. Participate in the planning and design stages of operational activities as necessary.
- Ensure personal adherence to Wellpro policies and practices such as those detailed in the employment contract, employee manual and SOP's.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Chemical Engineering/Cement Engineering experience and tertiary engineering qualification
- Sound IT skills
- Relevant licences and qualifications to meet client and legislative requirements
