Chief Engineer - Ict

• To perform technical delivery of complex projects as assigned by the Project Delivery Manager.
• Assisting and directing other Internal IT staff in the maintenance of Hexicor's platforms.
• Assisting in the resolution of escalations of both Service Delivery and Project Delivery issues, alongside Senior Engineers within the Service Delivery Team(s).
• Promotion of ongoing technical learning amongst all relevant staff through a process of Mentoring and collaborative work to resolve issues where appropriate.
• Assisting the Project Delivery Manager, Sales and Account Management in technical pre-sales design as required, and Engineering Review of Quotes as assigned by the Project Delivery Manager.
• Working with Sales and Account Management as required to undertake Product Development. This should include evaluation of any new products for suitability to be added to Hexicor's standard product listing and assisting the Service Delivery Manager in identifying required training to facilitate ongoing support of new products.
• Working with the Project Delivery Manager and Service Delivery Manager to maintain certification and accreditation for key partnerships, including but not limited to Telstra and Microsoft

Skills and knowledge

Essential

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven, substantial experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining Microsoft Windows server environments in both on-premises and public cloud (Azure) over a period of at least five years.
• Proven, strong understanding of networking deployment and troubleshooting including switching, routing, and firewalls over a period of at least three years.
• Experience and/or qualifications in Microsoft 365 stack including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and others.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-experienced users and present reports to executives.

Desirable

• Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist (formerly NSE7) or Fortinet Certified Professional in Networking Security (formerly NSE4).
• Microsoft certification in Windows Server and/or Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft Modern Desktop technologies, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, and Defender.
• Experience with Linux or Unix based operating systems and networking.
