About the role:
As a Claims Officer, you will work within a friendly and supportive team-oriented environment where you will be responsible for processing of claims information, determining claim and treatment liability and ongoing claims management for Workers Compensation Claims. This role is based at Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Full end-to-end management of claims, from lodgement to resolution
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and keep informed
- Request, collect and assess relevant information and evidence to make a claim determination (medical and/or factual/investigation etc)
- Determine initial and ongoing claim liability by understanding and applying the relevant jurisdictional legislation
- Correspond with claimants, medical practitioners, rehab providers and other service providers in line with legislative framework and timeframes as required
Skills and Experience:Our client is looking for someone with previous and recent experience in claims for Workers Compensation. If you bring experience in this area and enjoy operating in a team-based environment, we encourage you to apply.
- Two years experience working within Workers Compensation Claims environments
- Ability to understand and apply relevant legislation to register and assess all new claims including accurate injury recording
- Working knowledge of legislative Workers Compensation framework & timeframes
- Abilitiy to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and parties
- Ability to manage Workers compensation issues/procedures
- Well-developed computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft office
- Display a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to assist others
