Job description
An opportunity to lead a successful, respected organisation that makes a difference to a quarter of a million West Australians.
Carers WA is an independent incorporated entity, part of a federated national network of Carers Associations, and a peak body providing a voice for WA’s 230,000 carers. Our mission is to support the empowerment and wellbeing of carers through our programs, services and advocacy. Due to ongoing success in increasing revenue streams, the organisation is financially well-placed to deliver these services at a high level.
We seek an individual with strong executive management experience to lead organisational and financial strategies to further develop Carers WA’s ability to make a difference, and to support the Board in its corporate governance responsibilities. The successful candidate will have well developed relationship management skills to work productively with state and federal stakeholders and manage a range of funding agreements. The position also requires strong leadership to maintain and further develop a cohesive, ethical organisation that engages with diversity and keeps staff motivated in service delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with commercial acumen and empathy to make a real difference to the lives of carers in WA and strengthen the WA community.
An attractive remuneration package with flexible benefits will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Carers WA values its dedicated and skilled employees and aims to create a flexible, supportive family friendly workplace. Carers WA actively supports diversity and inclusion; we encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, LGBTIQA+ people, Carers and people with a disability to apply.
