Pay rate: Level 1 (Nurses Award 2020)
Role: Full time/Part time Registered Nurse
Location: Midland Clinic
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Provide empathetic, safe and high-quality nursing care in a perioperative environment
- Assist in Emergency Care throughout the clinic
- Apply Universal Infection Control principles
- Safe Medication Administration
- Provide Clinical Risk Assessment
- Conduct theatre work with some training provided
- Liaise with other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Support our Quality & Safety program by participating in all clinical quality initiatives and projects
What we look for in a candidate:
- Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Acute medical surgical experience
- Theatre experience especially with STOPs and MTOPs is highly regarded
- A Fiercely Pro-choice advocate who is passionate about de-stigmatising abortion, sexual and reproductive health
- Refined assessment skills
- Able to work across the clinic theatre, PACU
- Active and reflective listening skills with an understanding of how to provide empathetic care and provide patient centred care advocate
- Knowledge of National Accreditation Standards and ACORN standards
- Ability to manage budgets and staffing requirements
