This privately-owned industrial services business is a market leader in South-East Queensland. The business has experienced substantial growth via a combination of organic and acquisitions over the past 5 years, yet it is not highly corporatised and maintains a strong family values-based culture. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer is a newly created role. The business is now at a size and level of complexity where the need exists for a CFO to play a lead role in: future planning; implementation of improved systems, process and governance; improved quality of timely and accurate reports and analysis for the CEO, General Manager and revenue and cost centre managers; and upskilling the financial knowledge and capability of the leadership team.
The Chief Financial Officer is a critical leadership role which demands a high calibre individual. Suitably qualified candidates will have demonstrated ability to provide a ‘hands-on’ approach to ensure finance activities are carried out in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate will be technically competent and confident in engaging in discussions with the management team (revenue and cost centre managers) with strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff. You will demonstrate thorough competency in accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, margin analysis and cash management. A tertiary qualification supported by a post-graduate qualification as CA or CPA is required. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader and manager of direct reports from a capital intensive, industrial services sector, ideally from a private / family-owned company.
If the prospect of living and working on the Sunshine Coast holds genuine appeal and your experience and industry alignment is commensurate with the above, please call Mathew Newman on 0407 798 *** for a confidential discussion.
