As we embark on our next phase of development, we are seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team.
Position Overview:
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and spearheading our growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling businesses, adeptly managing finances across borders, and successfully executing mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives, both domestically and internationally.
- Provide strategic guidance to the CEO and board of directors on financial matters, risk management, and investment opportunities.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to optimise financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor our bookkeeper and administrator, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and negotiate potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships to drive expansion and maximise shareholder value.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders. Including investors, lenders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field: MVA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in a growth-oriented company, preferably with some global/cross territory operations experience.
- Demonstrated success in growing and scaling businesses, with a strong understanding of international finance and regulatory requirements.
- Track record of leading successful mergers, acquisitions, or business divestitures.
- Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on developing and empowering teams to achieve their full potential.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Location:
This position is based in Brisbane, Australia. Occasional travel maybe required.
