Our client is a fast growing and highly innovative ASX listed industrial company with a substantial enterprise value, revenue line and employee numbers. The organisation has developed industry leadership through an unrelenting approach to continuous capital investment and strategic infill acquisitions to drive scale and greater geographic coverage. With this continuing growth they are now looking to appoint a highly capable CFO to join their senior leadership team and help drive the business to the next level.
The Role
Reporting to an experienced CEO this position will play a key role in supporting the leadership team in the delivery of the organisation’s strategic, financial and commercial goals. You will be responsible for all management reporting and compliance whilst providing the CEO with commercial support during the next phase of growth. A key priority will be to drive integration synergies from recent acquisitions across key areas such as technology and operations. Other specific duties will include but not be limited to;
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
- Management of a substantial finance team at head office and site level with the ability to deliver on the BAU and at the same time managing systems integration and improvement.
- The production of all budgeting and forecasting, management accounting and statutory reporting.
- Engaging with various stakeholders including regulators, auditors, banks.
- Provide commercial and financial insight to support key decision making.
- Key advisor to the CEO across business strategy and analysis for future acquisitions.
- Managing capital structure and financing strategies, cash flow management, internal controls, risk management (such as FX and interest rates).
- Driving updating and optimising financial systems and technologies.
- Mergers and Acquisitions, due diligence, integration.
You will be CA/CPA qualified and have a proven track record within an ASX listed company or experience in a multinational/private equity backed industrial business operation with an entrepreneurial drive. Industry exposure working in a multi-site, capital intensive B2B environment with a growth agenda would be highly valued. You will be ambitious and motivated to achieve and bring the Finance team on the journey with you. A flexible, proactive and self-starter attitude will be essential in combination with resilience and credibility. You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to support operations and business partner with the CEO in a discrete and trusted advisor capacity. Along with the ability to work to deadlines, you will be able proactive with a passion for driving best practice and enjoy streamlining processes across multiple business lines.
