Access Group Australia/Access Hire is the nation's largest privately-owned fleet of construction, mining and oil & gas equipment. Our core business facilitates the hiring, selling, servicing, and transporting of equipment to various construction and mining sectors.

We seek an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to elevate our B2B marketing strategy and drive significant growth across Access Group, including our new national e-commerce strategy. This executive role involves crafting and executing an advanced multi-channel marketing strategy to enhance revenue and expand our client base. The focus is on innovating lead generation and integrating digital and traditional marketing channels to redefine our market presence.

Based at our Head Office in Canning Vale, the role will report directly to the company Chairman/Chief Executive Officer and the Board. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the company's strategic marketing vision, aligning it with the overarching goals and objectives of the business to ensure sustainable growth and competitive advantage in the global marketplace.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies that effectively communicate the brand's value proposition, driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and market leadership.
  • Act as the primary architect of the company's digital transformation in marketing, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, digital marketing channels, and data analytics to foster innovation and improve customer experience.
  • Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key industry players, stakeholders, and partners, enhancing the company's visibility and influence in the market.
  • Oversee comprehensive market research and competitive analysis efforts to inform strategic planning and decision-making, ensuring the company remains agile and responsive to market trends and opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, product development, and other departments to ensure marketing strategies are cohesive and support the company's overall objectives, enhancing product offerings and entering new markets.
  • Champion a culture of excellence within the marketing team and across the organisation, mentoring senior marketing leaders and fostering an environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Direct the allocation of the marketing budget and resources, ensuring strategic investments in initiatives that drive measurable results, optimising marketing spending for maximum ROI.
  • Represent the company at high-level industry events, conferences, and media engagements, acting as a key spokesperson to strengthen the company's industry position and thought leadership.
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies to meet or exceed business objectives, ensuring accountability and transparency in marketing outcomes.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing with a solid track record in senior roles, showcasing strategic leadership and execution in comprehensive marketing strategies.
  • An advanced degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is preferred, highlighting a deep understanding of marketing and business principles.
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging digital marketing tools and analytics to drive business growth, with expertise in digital advertising, social media, and CRM systems.
  • Proven ability in leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration across departments to ensure unified market expansion and product strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills can inspire a team in a high-performance culture while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to convert market insights into actionable strategies, improving brand presence, market share, and revenue.
  • Established network and ability to engage with industry stakeholders, enhancing the company’s strategic positioning and brand reputation.
  • Strategic vision with a global perspective, ideally with international market experience, to navigate market dynamics and position the company for success.
  • Required experience in global markets, including Asia, USA, Europe, UK, Middle East, and UAE, ensuring a candidate with a broad understanding of diverse marketing landscapes.
