Chief Technology Officer

CTO role with a software development background - remote within Australia Your new company Hays Technology is exclusively partnered with a global parent company to appoint a CTO to one of their Australian-based social media brands. Your new role As the CTO, you'll be working with the wider organisation to transform their digital landscape. In the midst of a modernisation project, you'll lead the technology teams by developing and implementing a technology strategy and processes which will drive the success and growth of the business. Alongside the strategic planning, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of IT infrastructure (application development through to networks and systems), security and scalability. You'll be innovative and bring new ideas to the business. Some current projects include cloud migration and application refresh. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you'll come from a technical background, both in software development and infrastructure architecture (on prem and cloud). You'll have lead large development teams and ideally come from a B2B or B2C industry.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the globe
Strong project management skills
Experience with ColdFusion and Node.js, AWS, GCP, Windows and Linux environments.
Knowledge of data management principles and data analytics
Strong experience with Cyber security best practices, data protection and risk management
Budgeting and forecasting
Experience building strong, engaging teams
