Are you passionate about improving health outcomes for children and families? We are seeking a committed Child Health Nurse to lead impactful initiatives in Aboriginal communities.
About the Role:
- Championing Transformation: Drive initiatives to deliver essential care, aiming to reduce morbidity and mortality rates by improving access to critical child and maternal health services.
- Comprehensive Child Health Assessments: Conduct thorough universal and extended Child Health checks and developmental screenings, ensuring early detection and intervention for optimal childhood development.
- Empowering Postnatal Support: Administer screenings for postnatal depression and provide culturally sensitive support, promoting maternal well-being and family health.
- Tailored Chronic Care Management: Collaborate on personalized care plans for children with chronic conditions, fostering holistic health management and enhancing quality of life.
What You Need:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Child and Family Health nursing and/or a minimum of two years' previous experience in Child, Family, and School Health Nursing or a similar role.
- Previous experience in a remote primary health care setting.
- Ability to work, reside, and travel independently in remote regions.
