THE OPPORTUNITY
The Childcare Assistant is dedicated to playing a crucial role in the care and education of a group of children, working closely with the team leader to create a nurturing atmosphere. The Childcare Assistant is passionate about fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for children's growth and development in an enriching environment. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Nurture children’s learning and well-being in accordance with current theories and industry practice
- Ensure all necessary duties are completed in required time frame
- Prepare nutritious food in accordance with correct food procedures

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Certificate III level education and care qualification
- Have a passion for nurturing and stimulating early learning
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to children
- Possess experience in planning and preparing food in an early childhood setting
- Sound communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development
- Demonstrated ability in providing balanced and varied food for children which meets the appropriate nutritional guidelines
