THE OPPORTUNITY

The Childcare Assistant is dedicated to playing a crucial role in the care and education of a group of children, working closely with the team leader to create a nurturing atmosphere. The Childcare Assistant is passionate about fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for children's growth and development in an enriching environment. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Nurture children’s learning and well-being in accordance with current theories and industry practice
• Ensure all necessary duties are completed in required time frame
• Prepare nutritious food in accordance with correct food procedures

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

• Certificate III level education and care qualification
• Have a passion for nurturing and stimulating early learning
• Demonstrated ability to relate well to children
• Possess experience in planning and preparing food in an early childhood setting 
• Sound communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development
• Demonstrated ability in providing balanced and varied food for children which meets the appropriate nutritional guidelines
