SalaryAre you ready for a step up in your career? We are looking for a 2IC or Room Leader looking to have an opportunity to step up as a Centre Director.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and motivated person to lead a centre in the inner-west suburbs of Sydney. The centre is licenced for 55+ children and will require a driven Director/Educational Leader who loves a challenge, has strong people skills and who can manage and lead by example!
Don't worry if you do not have all the necessary experience, the Approved Provider will be there to give you plenty of support and training to help you become independent and work autonomously in the role.
Position Available:
Centre Director:
We are looking for a Diploma qualified 2IC or Room Leader (with ideally 2 years room leader experience) to step into this Director role..
This role is a leadership role where you will be engaging with children on a day to day basis but working off the floor, as well as leading and managing a team of educators all whilst building and maintaining strong positive relationships with children, their families and the local community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee the daily operations of the centre.
- Plan and implement quality programs using your knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Ensure the centre is consistently well presented and offers a safe and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate and support the ongoing development of each team member.
- Maintain and manage resources across the centre.
- Ensure all health & safety benchmarks are maintained at the highest level.
- Initiate and participate in key events, centre tours and social/fundraising events.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Ideally have at least 2 years previous experience in a 2IC or room leader role
- The drive for high quality education and care
- An ACECQA recognised qualification Early Childhood Teachers Degree, or be Diploma qualified.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- A current Working with Children Check and Child Protection Certificate
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated leadership experience and skills
- To be a confident leader who can drive cultural change and develop a high performing team
- Have a caring disposition and a positive attitude
- Have an ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff members
- Possess a passion, enthusiasm, and a genuine love of working with children.
- Highly desirable: sound understanding of CCS and Xplor Software however training can be provided.
