Whispering Gully Childcare Centre provides an environment that gives children the opportunity to imagine, create, explore and learn through play. Family owned with genuine caring centre owners. We currently have three centres in Queensland and will open our newest location in Jindabyne mid-2024.
Our Jindabyne Centre is a brand-new, purpose-built facility, with large outdoor playgrounds in a natural environment. We are seeking a passionate and committed Centre Director who will uphold our philosophy and grow and lead our Jindabyne team from the start!
Being previous local Jindabyne residents for many years, we are well connected in the community, and are very much invested in the education and care of the local families.

Position Summary:
As the Director and Nominated Supervisor, you are expected to oversee the operations of the service, lead, guide, and support a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children. You are responsible and accountable for the overall operations of the service including management, administration and staffing.

Essential Requirements:
- Diploma, or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education & Care or currently studying
- Previous Director, Assistant Director, or Centre Management experience or experience in a Management and Leadership role outside of the Childcare industry
- Sound knowledge and implementation of the National Regulations and National Quality Framework
- Current Paid Working with Children Check in New South Wales and Children Protection Training
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Food Safety Certificates
- Strong organisation, time management and computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build rapport and create positive relationships with team members, children and families
- Demonstrate a high-level of integrity, responsibility, initiative and a proactive, solutions driven approach
- Passion to provide safe, quality education to the next generation of children
- Ability to demonstrate the incorporation of self-management skills into daily operations, such as: critical thinking and sound judgement, reflective practice, task prioritisation, and strategic planning
Desired Requirements:
- Management, Leadership, or Training qualifications or current study
- Previous experience with Xplor, Quikkids or similar software
