We are a not for profit, community owned, non-government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. About the Role
This role is responsible for the entire function of the kitchen, including but not limited to, menu planning, preparing healthy meals, ordering stock and cleaning duties. As the Cook you will use your experience to support the health and well-being of the children in the centre through the planning and preparation of all meals provided throughout the day.
What you need to succeed
- Ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills
- A good level of physical fitness
- Be organised
- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Qualifications in Menu Planning and Nutrition and Safe Food Handling or equivalent are desirable. NOTE: training will be provided for the right candidate and paid for by Big Fat Smile.
