Our client is searching for a fabulous Cook or Chef to join their brilliant early childhood education and care service. This is a full-time role with consistent hours Mon-Fri hours - think no more working to a roster or on weekends!

Our client operates a stunning early-year learning service that caters to 130 children and is located on seven acres of beautiful farmland. The service enjoys a great reputation in the local area with a waitlist for families to secure a place for their children.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- The preparation and service of meals to children, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late supper (using a four-week rotating roster).
- Preparing meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies.
- Order stock based on the current menu and ensure all items that are required are delivered.
- Ensure daily cleaning of all kitchen, trolleys, utensils, crockery, cutlery and appliances
- Liaising with parents for menu planning and the dietary needs of children.
- Ensuring the safe and hygienic storage, handling, and preparation of food and drink.
- Ordering food supplies in consultation with the center director.
- Receiving and storing food and supplies and stock rotation
You must have a passion for nutrition/health and an understanding of how food contributes to children's overall health and development.
Role requirements
- 2 years experience working in a similar environment - e.g. long day care or aged care facility (Required)
- Ability to attend a paid trial if requested
- A friendly, approachable demeanor and taking pride in seeing the empty plates
- Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Food Authority Guidelines
- When required, adjust the nutritionally balanced menu or recipe guided by best practices and in consultation with the service management team
- Ability to use computers for ordering.
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Adaptable and strong organisation skills
