Key Responsibilities
As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will work closely with a supportive, energetic, and passionate P&C team whist Business Partnering with Council's City Assets directorate, collaborating with various teams including Roads & Traffic, Open Space, Building Services & Fleet, and more.
You will align Council's business objectives with employees and management, provide guidance on P&C matters, support recruitment activities, and enhance the employee/employer relationship. A copy of the position description can be accessed here.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in human resources and demonstrated ability to influence and consult with all levels across Council. You will have:
- Ability to provide guidance & support to management in the resolution of disciplinary matters
- Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment
- Ability to interpret and implement policies and contracts
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- An understanding of Local Government employment legislation, preferred.
- Consultation skills and experience with executives
- Thorough knowledge of HR practises and Local Government legislation
- Ability to exercise professional judgement
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline with 5 years demonstrated industry experience.

What's on offer
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000
