THE OPPORTUNITY

At the HenderCare Foundation, we are seeking a Children's Services Coordinator to proactively schedule and roster care workers to relevant residential services within HenderCare and the Department.

Our commitment to delivering quality care in safe, nurturing, and stable environments to children and young people under the guardianship or custody of the Department for Child Protection is paramount to the HenderCare Foundation.

The team is engaging, collaborative, and supportive to ensure you’re able to reach your full potential. You’ll work alongside colleagues who have extensive industry experience and with supportive management who are dedicated to your development and success in the role.

Take your next step with HenderCare.

About the Role

As a Children's Services Coordinator, you will form part of one of the most important teams in our organisation. At its core, this dynamic and fast-paced team work in a proactive and reactive call-centre environment to ensure the work you do positively impacts the lives of the kids in our care.

Overall, you can expect to:

  • Roster our field team members to meet service delivery requirements
  • Organising replacement staff in a timely manner when required
  • Liaising with the Department for Child Protection on relevant matters
  • Manage staff records, maintain compliance, and coordinate the after-hours/on-call log sheets for handovers

HenderCare provides support services 24/7. As part of your contract, you may be scheduled to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and/or public holidays.

About You

We are looking for engaging, energetic, and passionate people who show a strong commitment to the overall growth of the organisation. Attention to detail, maintaining accuracy, and having the capacity to absorb and apply new information and processes will allow you to succeed in this role. Showing initiative and being confident in your own skills and abilities, including being able to prioritise your workload and work with tight deadlines with relative autonomy, will allow you to thrive in what can be a challenging environment.

You will also bring:

  • Strong commitment to providing excellence in customer service.
  • Have exemplary interpersonal skills to communicate with a wide range of audiences.
  • Be a team player and show dedication to a proactive and supportive workplace culture.

Experience within the youth/residential care sector, rostering/call-centre environment, and completion of a Cert III or Cert IV in Youth Work, Disability, or any other aligned discipline will be advantageous.

Only applicants with the right to work in Australia will be considered. Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks.
