About the JobDo you have the skills and experience to help create a new-to-market extreme privacy and security-based browser? We are looking for a full-platform magician to join our small and agile team to bring a new and exciting privacy-by-design platform to market.
Job Requirements:
Play a lead role in developing a new-to-market Chromium-based/Privacy browser with a full complement of features and extensions.
Play a lead role in secure VPN and firewall integration development with established US-based 3rd party providers and other partners.
Work with UX/UI designs and implement as required.
Front-end code and functionality are mostly completed, predominate next stage focus will be the back end, VPN and other security and privacy-related aspects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements as needed.
Develop, manage, and maintain existing and new code bases and repos
Optimise extension performance.
Ensure extension security and compliance with new and ongoing browser standards.
Understand project planning core functions and deliver core packages on a tight and limited timeline. Understand planning priorities and constraints.
What we are looking for:
Mandatory:
Someone highly motivated, capable, proactive, committed, and energetic. We have no room to move, tolerance or flexibility on this component. If you are looking for your next role to click the ticket simply, this role won't work for you.
Degree qualification in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Min 5+ years of both front and back-end web-based development and coding experience.
Strong proficiency in chromium-based browser development.
Demonstrated experience in building software across multiple operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android).
Highly Desirable:
Experience in integrating with VPN and AI services.
Knowledge of privacy and safe browsing concepts, such as adblockers, trackers and content filtering.

Whilst this is a short-term contract/project-related role, there is the opportunity to be part of a longer-term position as the platform is rolled out and commercialised. We have other Joint Venture opportunities in our pipeline and this will lead to significant ongoing development and operational opportunities.
