Estimator - Landscape Construction

We specialise in all aspects of large-scale construction landscaping, including Commercial sector projects such as Childcare Centres, Aged Care Facilities, Schools and various Council works across metropolitan and regional Victoria.

The Barefoot team is passionate about what we do and we are looking for a gun Estimator to enhance and expand our market share.

Our Ideal candidate 

You have practical experience in Estimation of Construction and /or Landscaping programs. Your communication and liaison experience reaches the likes of prominent developers, builders, and landscape architects.  You can effectively organise, judge, and deliver quality and accurate documentation to key stakeholders.  Your mission will be to ensure Barefoot Projects maintains a reputation of Landscape Construction excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Seek out new Tender opportunities. 
• Scope new projects and avenues of work
• Preparation of costing budgets for tenders received.
• Undertaking quantity take-offs.
• Inspecting sites for tenders.
• Preparation of costing budgets for live construction projects 
• Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ's) and budget for handover to the Projects and Construction teams.
• In coordination with the Projects team, obtain sub-contractor and supplier quotations. 
• Liaise with the Design team on D&C tenders.
• Develop quality relationships with clients both existing and prospective.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• A background in Civil Landscaping and/or Construction 
• A qualification in Landscape Construction/Design or Civil Construction will be advantageous.
• Experience estimating large scale, multi-layer projects. 
• An outstanding eye for detail
• An excellent work ethic and ability to think independently.
• Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills 
• An ability to deliver to tight deadlines. 
• Experience with Estimation Platforms and Project Management Apps, knowledge of CAD, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Current Working with Children Check and Victorian drivers licence essential.
