Ostojic Group is a family-owned company that have been in business for over 50 years. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Manager to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory.
We are looking for a qualified Civil Construction Manager to oversee and manage our Civil Construction projects in Darwin and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, meeting quality standards, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, lead a dedicated team, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Civil Construction projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, coordination, and quality control
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation measures
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams to maintain high performance and achieve project objectives
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare reports, presentations, and progress updates for senior management as required
- Stay updated on industry trends, evolving technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization
Requirements:
- Degree in civil engineering/project management or a related field preferred by not essential
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Civil Construction Manager, preferably in a similar capacity
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction methodologies
- Solid understanding of project management principles, including cost control, scheduling, and risk management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, permits, and codes of practice
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer applications and project management software
- Current driver's license
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Must have full working rights in Australia
