We have an amazing opportunity for a motivated Draftsperson in NSW. This role will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
Key Tasks:

  • Complete draughting shop drawings for NSW
  • Prepare sketches, charts, tabulations, plans, preliminary projects, and preparations for engineering works
  • Inspect engineering works and supervise maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Liaise with internal (Sales, Application Engineering, Workshop, Planning) to prepare for delivery and installation
  • Review JSA, Safety plans and edit / update as required
  • Be primary contact with the customer up to the point of installation at which time the installation supervisor then takes over the I & D on the job.
  • Manage & review project costs to ensure that project budget is achieved
  • Ensure that project administration, stock control, cost preparation and reviews are completed
  • Ensure that all appropriate documentation is completed
  • Communicate the budget and milestones through regular project meetings
  • Schedule communication and resolve any conflicts with resources
  • Be responsible for delivery of customer service
  • Conduct post project reviews with customer, document outcomes and suggest improvements
  • Ensure that project administration is completed
  • Review project performance with internal (Sales, AE, Workshops, CA)
  • Ensure that stock management / control is completed
  • Liaise with engineering on any issues for review
Safety and compliance:
  • Ensure that Hazard and Risk Assessments are carried out for the Site and relevant activities.
  • Ensure that all appropriate actions are taken to implement the Occupational Health and Safety Management system, Policy, Procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Review any health and safety reports and take appropriate actions
  • Monitor health and safety procedures within area of responsibility
  • Ensure consultation with employees and HSR's particularly on any workplace changes which have a Health and Safety component
  • Initiate actions to improve health and safety
  • Regularly review the health and safety performance of employees, and area.
  • Demonstrate commitment to health and safety through participation in formal and informal discussions, workplace audits and hazard inspections
  • Actively monitor the workplace to determine presence of hazards and take appropriate actions to rectify any hazard found
  • Ensure all employees are inducted and receive regular training as required to perform jobs safely
  • Work with rehabilitation providers to facilitate the earliest return to work for injured employees

Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Knowledge and experience working in the Construction Industry
  • Working knowledge of Installation procedures
  • Civil engineering diploma or higher
  • 3 years' or more full time work experience in related field
  • Computer literacy
  • Cert IV in OH&S
  • Organisation and Planning

  • Current Driver's License
