International Talent Specialists is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson for a WA-based company.
The position is full-time with a minimum of 38 hours per week.
This position will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering projects by producing accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to translate design concepts into comprehensive drawings that adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Tasks:
Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams for Civil Engineering projects including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and infrastructure developments.
Interpret and translate engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into technical drawings with precision and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards throughout the drafting process.
Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to review and revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements.
Prepare quantity and material takeoffs to support project estimating and procurement activities.
Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and project files for easy reference and accessibility.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in drafting technologies, and best practices to enhance drafting efficiency and quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
At least 2 years of proven experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson or similar role
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar programs.
Strong understanding of Civil Engineering principles, construction techniques, and drafting standards.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings and plans.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing Civil Engineering projects.
