POSITION OVERVIEW:
Engineering Design & Certifications seeks a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in creating detailed design drawings and documentation for various projects, including residential and light commercial structures. Working closely with the team of engineers and clients, the Civil Engineering Draftsperson will contribute to developing innovative and practical design solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborating with engineers and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
Preparing detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
Assisting in developing structural designs for light gauge steel, residential, and commercial projects.
Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and design documentation compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Reviewing and incorporating feedback from project stakeholders to refine design drawings and documentation.
Assisting in preparing engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation as required.
Maintaining organised project files and documentation to facilitate efficient project management and collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply
Minimum Diploma t in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience working as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson or in a similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise design drawings.
Practical communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Familiarity with relevant Australian building codes and standards is preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
