As the Design Draftsperson, you will be involved in the mechanical and structural design detailing of materials handling structures and equipment for brownfield and greenfield projects.
About the role:
- Producing detailed 3D mechanical & structural design models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor, working alongside experienced designers within the Engineering department (RDT Engineering)
- Ensure that drawings and models are produced to scale
- Providing a supporting focus to continuous improvement and drafting development.
- Bringing new and innovative ideas to the table that will contribute to circular economy
- Assisting with project coordination
- Liaising with stakeholders and external sub-contractors
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Design Manager
- Attending site trips as required
About you:
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience, ideally working in a similar role in a Manufacturing, Minerals Processing or Heavy Industrial industry.
- Software knowledge of applications including: Autodesk inventor, BIM, advance steel or AutoCAD 3D Plant experience will be highly desirable
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment that will bring new and innovative ideas
- A metal trade background (Cert III Fabrication/Sheetmetal/Machining) will be highly desirable but not essential
- Diploma in Engineering or Cert III in Computer Aided Drafting will be highly desirable but not essential
- Previous usage of Vault & Navisworks and Autodesk Inventor iLogic will be highly regarded but not essential.
