About the Client
This leading Civil Construction company have multiple projects across South-East Queensland with a focus on road construction & subdivisions. They have partnered with the local council to complete flood recovery works across 2500 individual sites. They are currently seeking Civil Leading Hands and have multiple positions available with an immediate start.
About the Role
You will work in a tight-knit crew across various sites and be expected to work 9-10 hour days Monday to Friday (with the occasional half day Saturday). This project consists of civil tasks such as;
- Seal & unsealed pavement reconstruction
- Culvert replacements
- General earthworks
- Formation and shoulder grading of rural roads
- Drainage
- Landslip remediation
As the Leading Hand, you will be responsible for managing crews of 5-10 workers, with core duties including
- Setting out site for the supervisor
- Signing off daily dockets/timesheets
- Cost coding
Successful candidates will be provided with a company vehicle which they can use for work purposes only. The vehicle will need to be dropped off at the main depot at the end of each shift.
Requirements
- Construction White Card
- Driver’s Licence + reliable transport
- Previous Leading Hand experience (minimum 6 months)
