Here at Concentis, we have partnered with a multinational mining organisation with a diverse commodity portfolio, to seek a Civil Project Engineer for their site-based project management team.
In this client-side role, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Leads to plan and execute a diverse portfolio of road and bulk earthworks projects on their Far North Queensland mine site. This is the perfect role for someone looking to develop their skills in project management, whilst working on exciting projects in a supportive and development-driven environment.
This role is a FIFO opportunity on a 9:5 or 10:4 roster travelling to the far-north Queensland mine site perfect for someone in Brisbane/Cairns/Townsville or similar. Flying on the first and last days of your swing, with all travel and accommodation arranged and paid for by the company. This is a 12-month on-going contract with 3-5 years of work in the pipeline.
Accountabilities:
- Supporting on multiple road and bulk earthworks projects
- Driving and coordinating projects from an engineering, cost, schedule, and quality perspective
- Managing engineering partners through concept and detailed design phase, including document reviews, organising design reviews, and responding to technical requests
- Supporting construction teams by providing technical guidance in the field during execution activities
- Engaging and fostering relationships with internal (projects, operations, maintenance) and external (design consultants, construction contractors) stakeholder groups
- Experience in civil engineering practices, with proven site project delivery
- Bulk earthworks, heavy earthmoving, or road/rail project delivery experience
- Previous exposure to civil, mining, construction, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Tertiary engineering qualifications within civil engineering
- Long-term ongoing contract role with 3-5 years worth of site projects on the horizon
- Work on a diverse portfolio of projects within a supportive, development-driven team
