Seeking an experienced Project Manager to ensure the successfully delivery of Civil Projects across Perth.
TEN Recruitment is currently searching for a Project Managerfor a successful and sizeable civil construction contractor. This fulltime, permanent position is Perth based and would see you working on a range of local sub-division and road construction projects. The chosen applicant will be responsible for efficiently delivering these projects, within budget and time frames.Your responsibilities may include, but won’t be limited to:
- Manage and deliver on each construction phase to the agreed standards, timeframe and allocated budget.
- Liaise with construction managers to coordinate delivery of materials with vendors.
- Ensure all projects are compliant with relevant environmental approvals, applicable legislation and policy requirements.
- Regular reporting on project progress, cost and status.
- Manage the coordination of contracted work to optimize the client and contractor resources.
- Effectively build working relationships with contractors, clients and key stakeholders to generate business and ensure a continuation of future works.
- Plan resourcing for efficient use of plant, machinery, equipment and materials on all Civil Projects.
- Ensure all team members are following established workplace rules and relevant HSE policies and procedures.
- Overcome and communicate issues that arise, including dispute resolution as required.
Essential criteria:
- 5+ years experience in a Project Management position.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management (or equivalent).
- Experience within various scopes of civil works such as road construction, remediation and subdivisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build, sustain and effective multidisciplinary teams, maximising performance at an individual and team level.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications.
- Proven experience successfully delivering Civil Projects on time and budget.
- Sound knowledge of the WA construction industry, relevant standards and methodologies.
- Be highly motivated and willing to drive a safety-first culture.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- Capable of handling multiple responsibilities and deadlines at a time.
