Civcon Civil & Project Management is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team. At Civcon, we pride ourselves on our outstanding service and ability to deliver complex civil construction and utilities projects to the highest standards of safety and quality.
In this position you will be involved in all aspects of HSEQ that continue to build your career in the industry civil construction and water utilities area.
The Opportunity:
As a HSEQ Advisor you will provide HSEQ advice and support to project teams to achieve HSEQ excellence and maximise company HSEQ performance.
You will be part of a proactive team that thrives on ensuring the Company’s HSEQ standards are the primary priority. You will be responsible for:
- Update, implement and drive safety procedures, policies, SWMS, and processes
- Conduct audits, site inspections and walkthroughs
- Assist with incident investigation, reports and actions
- Attend and actively participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
- Liaise and interact with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors in HSE desirables
- Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE Management system
- Develop and implement new HSE initiatives
- Communicate HSE requirements to project teams
- Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Cert IV/Diploma qualification or greater in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the civil construction industry and minimum of 3 years as a HSE Advisor
- Construction White Card
- Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft office suite
- Good time management
- Current C class Drivers Licence
- Drug & Alcohol testing (desirable)
- Experience working with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, AS4801 and Federal Safety Commission Accreditation (desirable)
