Do you want to make a difference with your work? Do you want to work for an organisation that is respected by its members and stakeholders for being effective, collaborative, and dynamic?
We are looking for an experienced Civil Works Contract Manager to work in our procurement team to develop and manage a suite of civil construction panel arrangements. The role will require you to support councils and suppliers in the use of the arrangements and in building sector capability in procurement.
About us
We are the peak body for local government in Tasmania. Our role is to support, advocate for and represent the local government sector, so our 29 council members are best placed to serve their communities.
The LGAT Procurement team provides efficient and effective administration and procurement support to Tasmanian councils. Our arrangements enable Tasmanian councils to procure goods and services, consolidating the demand and eliminating the need for separate supply contracts.
We are a small adaptive organisation that is driven to making a difference for Tasmania. Annual leave is five and a half weeks (including a Christmas/New Year shutdown), as well as generous superannuation and long service leave provisions. Our office is on the doorstep of cafes, Hill Street Grocer and the Hobart Rivulet, the perfect place for a lunch time walk. We look after our people, supporting and rewarding them. We respect that work is part of your life, not your life. Most staff work off-site a few days a week, and those with kids have flexible arrangements for pick-ups, drop-offs, and events.
About you
You have got demonstrated procurement experience in the Civil Works sector and a track record of achievement and bringing creativity to challenging problems. You are known for your engagement skills and the ability to work closely with a range of stakeholders.
