Period of employment / Hours:
Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
This is a senior leadership role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring experience in managing contracts with community sector organisations and to work collegially with Homes Tasmania’s partners to support change within Tasmania’s housing and homelessness system.
The Lead Contract Manager, as part of the Community Housing Programs unit, will monitor the performance of community housing providers, participate in contract negotiations with community housing providers, and ensure contractual obligations are being met. They will do this by keeping all stakeholders informed and providing timely and accurate advice and recommendations to senior management and by working closely with community housing providers.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- Demonstrated high level expertise and competence to Lead Contract management activities coupled with a high-level working knowledge of contract arrangements used for the community sector and familiarity with legal documents.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated competence to effectively manage conflicts and negotiate resolutions in a professional setting, including active listening skills, empathy, creativity in problem-solving, maintaining composure under pressure, and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes through collaborative negotiations.
- Highly developed time management skills, with demonstrated ability to work quickly under pressure, often according to complex rules and procedures, and be adaptive to change.

Desirable Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution.
