About the opportunity
The Claims Officer is responsible for assisting the workers compensation team predominantly with administration tasks. This includes lodgement and processing of claims, maintaining inboxes and processing invoices and payments. In addition, the role may include the assessment and determination of low risk/low value workers’ compensation decisions across the APG.
The role is a fixed-term position until February 2025. Location is flexible.
What you’ll deliver with us
The role will provide advice and guidance to operational management, injured employees and other internal and external stakeholders in relation to the assessment and determination of low-risk claims and the strategies that can be applied to improve outcomes.
You’ll also
- Support the workers compensation team to lodge and process claims
- Day to day management of inboxes and correspondence
- Processing of invoices and payments within a timely manner
- Manage a low risk claims portfolio, including investigation and decision making under the SRC Act 1988
