Claims Officer

This exciting new position will report to the National Insurance Manager and aim to provide timely and commercial resolution of claims on an end-to-end basis.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage Centurion's Motor Vehicle insurance claims from inception through to finalisation
• Registering and evaluating claims
• Liaising with internal staff, clients and third parties to ensure prompt settlement of claims
• Negotiate insurance claims and disputes with customers
• Responding to enquiries from brokers, loss adjusters, customers and suppliers
• Manage cost recovery against external parties where claims thresholds not met
• Assist Finance with settlement process, create purchase orders and seek approvals
• Maintaining the claims follow up system
• Documenting the closure of cases
• Attending and contributing to team meetings

Skills & Experience

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to collaborate and engage meaningfully with internal and external stakeholders
• Tertiary qualifications and/or ANZIIF qualifications are highly regarded but not essential
• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end claims management
