Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Officer to join our team. As an Insurance Broker Claims Officer, you will be responsible for handling commercial and domestic insurance claims (no workers compensation claims) efficiently and effectively, ensuring timely processing and resolution for our clients. You will work closely with insurance companies, clients, loss adjusters, builders and other stakeholders to facilitate the claims process and provide exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide superior service to clients by advising and lodging insurance claims.
- Monitoring the assessment of claims and negotiating settlements with insurers to ensure the best possible outcome for the client.
- Maintain accurate records of claims and related documentation.
- Keeping clients informed of the claim progress through to confirming final settlement.
- Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in insurance claims handling or a similar role.
- Experience using Insurers various online portals.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Relevant certifications - RG146 or Tier 2 general insurance qualified.
