A great leadership opportunity is available for a Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to be responsible for the management, leadership and support of the Acute nursing teams continuity of care at Clare Hospital.
Working collaboratively with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager Perioperative Services and the Nurse Unit Manager Aged Care as part of the sites level 3 leadership team, you will be responsible for the Acute, Emergency Department (ED), Renal Unit and Chemotherapy Unit nursing teams. You will also be involved with clinical service planning projects with the focus on the continued development of your designated units services at Clare.
Performing in this role provides opportunity to develop professional development and clinical pathways for the provision of care.

Clare Hospital is located in the Clare Valley, a picturesque winery region located 135 kms from Adelaide. Clare Hospital has 24/7 ED presentations, Acute ward (24 bed) renal unit (2 chairs) infusion / chemotherapy clinic and provides obstetric services. in conjunction with the YNLHN Midwifery Group Practice.

Eligibility
All applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. The applicant must also have at least 3 years post registration experience working in a RN/M3 clinical leadership role with Acute hospital / ED experience essential.
Experience working in a dynamic acute rural hospital is desirable.
This is currently a job share position - part time vacancy, working 48 hours per fortnight will be negotiated and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
