Warragul North Primary School, located in West Gippsland, is committed to building connectedness to school and strengthening positive relationships with students and the school community. Through our school¿s motto `Together we Learn¿, the school promotes a positive, safe and supportive learning culture. Improving students social, emotional, behavioural, and academic outcomes is a whole school priority. We also encourage the development of independence, active participation, and leadership within the school and wider community. Family involvement and engagement is a vital part of our school community and culture.

At Warragul North Primary School, we have a collaborative culture where dedicated staff work in Professional Learning Community (PLC) teams to combine their expertise to ensure high quality curriculum planning and implementation. All staff have high expectations for every student, and this is reflected in students¿ positive attitude to learning and belief in themselves. Our PLCs meet regularly to embed a culture of working collaboratively to continuously improve teaching and learning.

Teaching and Learning at Warragul North Primary School focuses on building active learning, is informed by evidence and is aligned to the Victorian Curriculum. We provide a curriculum which is relevant, challenging and engaging for learners in their primary school years, encouraging students to investigate, communicate and become lifelong learners with curious minds and a bright future. All students have access to Digital Technologies in their classrooms, complimenting the teaching and learning programs offered. Our school is establishing an environment and sustainability program which will be integrated into all aspects of the school and curriculum.

Warragul North Primary School offers a range of different opportunities and experiences for our students to engage in during their schooling years. These include but are not limited to; Senior and Junior Sports Carnivals, Camps and Excursions, Student Leadership, Junior School Council, and Concerts and Productions.

Our Buildings and Grounds are continually redeveloped and maintained. A variety of spaces available include sitting areas, separate play equipment for Foundation, Junior, Middle and Senior students, we also have a grassed oval, sandpits, synthetic Basketball Courts, `Marble Alley¿ a natural material play space, updated Foundation year play spaces.

In conjunction with our school council, and the school community, we are currently developing a whole school plan to increase inclusive and modern play spaces and functional areas around our school grounds. In 2024 our BER Building houses our Foundation Learning space and our Year 1 learning area. We have recently refurbished our senior wing and our junior and middle school buildings provide quiet and stimulating learning spaces for students. Other facilities available at Warragul North Primary include a Library, Gymnasium and Arts Hub.

In 2024 Warragul North Primary School has a current enrolment of 556 students. We have 25 homegroups and offer the following specialist subjects: Physical Education, Visual Art, Performing Arts, STEM, LOTE (Japanese) and Humanities. The staffing profile at Warragul North Primary School consists of the following, 1 Principal, 2 Assistant Principals, 1 Business Manager, 2 Leading Teachers, 1 Learning Specialists, 27 Classroom Teachers, 9 Specialist Teachers, 1 Tutor, 4 Administration Staff and 16 Educational Support Staff. The school chaplain supports students and their families 2 days per week.
