This offers exciting opportunities for you to gain a wide range of experiences to build your public service career.

Note: This is a 12-month temporary fulltime role with possible extension and possible ongoing.

Rostered weekend shifts are required and possible occasional weekday overtime.

About the NSW Department of Education

If we can make some adjustments to our recruitment/interview process to better enable you to shine, please contact the Diversity and Inclusion Team (dandi@det.nsw.edu.au) or visit NSW Department of Education Diversity and Inclusion

 Additional Information

Hurlstone Agricultural High School (HAHS) is the only NSW government coeducational selective agricultural High School with boarding facility and large school farm. There are currently 967 students enrolled, with a boarding facility that can accommodate at least 180 students, and a large multi-enterprise farm. As a boarding school, we offer housekeeping services to our boarder community, which is operated by a small team.

HAHS sits on 159 hectares, sharing educational land with four other departmental entities. Most of the land is used for farming. It is five minutes from the M5 entry/exit and 250m adjacent the Glenfield rail station. It borders the Hume Highway M5 on the western side, residential homes on the north farm boundary, and adjoins the NSW Transport boundary on the eastern and southern sides.

Both our boarding facility and farm are under a major capital works project with a planned commissioning date set for mid 2024.
