About the role
Green Light are delivering a project for an industry leading organisation and have a requirement for a talented Network Security Consultant to join our project delivery team. The position is primarily focused on Firewall provision Security incorporating firewall management and load balancing within a Complex environment.

Primarily this role within Green Lights technical delivery team will be working on a large global firewall migration and IPS deployment based on Next Generation Firewalls. Provision of analysis of security events, monitoring, supporting secure and complex customer environment with a focus on security event management, vulnerability management, next generation intrusion prevention and firewalling.

An active ASGVA baseline and/or Negative Vetting (NV1) Clearance at minimum, is essential – consultants who are not Australian Citizens and do not have an active baseline and/or NV1 cannot be considered.
 
Responsibilities:

• Working as a Firewall Engineer within a project team for design, staging, configuration and migration from a legacy firewall platform to local and global sites.
• Configuration, migration and upgrade of firewall, IPS, NAC, encryption and a wide variety of other security products/appliances.
• Troubleshoot, install, implement and administer network and security systems and provide level 3 support.
• Managing support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow ups are done in a timely manner.
• Provide 3rd Line Support for the Network and Security infrastructure components in accordance with agreed service levels, standards and processes
• Install new hardware and software to enhance security and maintain compliance.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in implementing firewalls with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Checkpoint (Security Policies, Remote Access VPNs and NAT).
• PCNSE certification required for the position.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring and maintaining network management & security (PCNSE, ACE,CCNA, CCIE and CISSP certifications would be highly regarded)
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, SSL decryption, WildFire, Threat Prevention, URL filtering and Panorama Highly Regarded.
• Migration experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/ISE/ACS, Checkpoint and Juniper SRX would be Advantageous.
• Advanced knowledge of LAN and WAN protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS.
• Understanding of Global/Local load balancing devices including F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM), Cisco CSS would be advantageous.
• Experience working in 24x7 centres with complex, mission-critical, high transaction, high availability environments.
• Basic working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows, SNMP, Microsoft Active Directory.
• Virtualisation capabilities would be highly advantageous (VMware).
