Network Security Engineer

Kinetic IT is continuing to grow! We are establishing a new team, working with a new Federal Government customer, and looking for talented and motivated individuals to join us as we embark on our next exciting partnership.

This role will join our managed services delivery team, working with our customer located in the Canberra CBD. The team will be nationally dispersed, but this role will be based onsite in Canberra Civic.

You will be a core member of our team working across the full end-to-end security infrastructure as well as key projects. You will take a hands-on approach, representing security requirements and best practices across projects and daily operations.

Keen to get involved? You will need some of the following:

• Experience in a similar position as a Network/Security Engineer
• Experience with Networking and Server concepts and protocols
• Understanding and experience of Email and Antivirus Management
• Experience with Firewall management and administration in an enterprise environment
• Understanding of data flow and security concepts such as process flows, cyber incident management, risk, and vulnerabilities
• Hands on experience with Palo Alto and Cisco
• Current active Government Security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain high-level clearance
