About the role
We are seeking a motivated Client Care Officer to join our team. The key responsibility of the position is to provide care coordination and support in booking appointments for clients referred for Specialist Care from the Smile Squad Program.
You will be responsible for:
- Client care coordination with DHSV and external (private) care providers
- Work collaboratively with the Specialised Care Program Implementation Lead to ensure efficient coordination of patient flow from the Smile Squad program.
- Provide operational support for functions to facilitate the efficient running of the program.
- Assist clients in accessing specialist services.
- Co-ordinate client visits/appointments and answer pre-visit questions.
- Assist client and parent/guardian in understanding of the processes for receiving care in the program and monitor progress through the program.
- Manage incoming and outgoing patient referrals and documentation to specialist practices and liaising with third party facilities.
About you
You will have:
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Knowledge of patient/data management systems e.g., Titanium
- Knowledge of patient registration protocols
- High level understanding of oral health procedures and treatments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trust and respect and work with patients and consumers in an inclusive and culturally appropriate person-centered manner.
