Job description

SQUAD by Mamamia is on the lookout for a Client Manager to join our Squad team.

But first, here's a bit about Squad

Whether it's video, audio or written content, across social, websites, email or publishing, our expertise is built from the DNA of Australia's most successful content-led brand, Mamamia.

Culture drives consumer behaviour, from trending moments to longform storytelling. We are fascinated by the way culture influences content, and the speed at which it changes and as a content and marketing.

You can find out more about Squad here - https://squadbymamamia.com/

What we're looking for.

As a Client Manager at SQUAD, you will play a pivotal role in transforming high-quality leads into successful sales and cultivating long-term relationships with clients, particularly in the realm of social and influencer products. Serving as the face of SQUAD in the marketplace, you will excel in strategic planning, forecasting, and crafting compelling proposals. Your primary focus will be on establishing trust with clients through strategic initiatives and impeccable account service, while also collaborating closely with the Mamamia sales team.

Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:

Revenue Generation: Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets, demonstrating a proactive approach to meeting outbound and relationship management contact quotas.

Deal Management: Utilise Boostr to manage deals and revenue, actively contributing to business reporting for effective decision-making.

Proposal Development: Own the client proposal and Statement of Work (SOW) presentation process, playing a key role in developing content, influencer strategy, partnership frameworks, and costings. Manage the team to deliver high-quality responses.

Client Engagement: Be the driving force in presenting and closing proposals and scope of works to clients. Act as a senior team relationship point for retained/regular clients, creative partners, influencers, and talent managers.

Collaborative Oversight: Work collaboratively with commercial, production, and creative/influencer colleagues to guide and maintain quality on client scope post-sale.

Industry Expertise: Remain deeply engaged in social media trends, trade press, events, and partner client categories. Stay informed about the latest developments in competitors, platforms, algorithms, and trending topics in the social landscape.

Content Contribution: Contribute to client reporting and work with your team to generate content for publication on the SQUAD website, LinkedIn, and other social accounts.

Now, a bit about you.

This role is a great fit for a proactive and dynamic individual who can navigate the evolving landscape of social and influencer marketing, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client experiences and driving revenue growth for SQUAD. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication and strategic planning skills, and are passionate about the social media landscape, we invite you to join our team and contribute to the success of SQUAD.

  • 5 years experience in media, advertising, agency or publisher sales environment.
  • Proven track record of lead generation and client conversion.
  • Ability to create high quality, cut through social strategies and presentations and a win-win mindset.
  • Track record of fostering key relationships with internal and external clients
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian content marketing landscape, specially in social, video, native publishers and influencer networks.
  • Possess a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) and wow your clients and co workers every day

Life at Mamamia.

We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative. Mamamia feels small enough that you can create real and tangible change, but has the structure to support your ideas with experienced and industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month.

We have a startup spirit within a scaled-up business structure and we're incredibly proud of the culture and community we've created. Our team is inclusive, passionate, and fun (..although apparently, not very modest about it); many lifelong friendships and connections have been forged in Mamamia HQ.

But enough about us, let's talk about how we can help you. At Mamamia, we want to support all of our staff in kicking as many career goals as possible so that's why we'll support you in getting involved in the things you're actually interested in. Think you might want to broaden your scope? Get exposure to another team in the business? Try something new and develop your skills? We'll help you make it happen and cheer you on the whole way.

On top of all that, Mamamia also offers:

  • Flexible working conditions
  • The opportunity to celebrate your birthday and ongoing dedication with additional leave days
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid volunteer leave to get involved with our charity partners
  • The opportunity to work for a purpose-driven company and help us make the world a better place for women and girls.

One more thing!

Mamamia is an equal opportunity employer, all applicants will be considered regardless of your race, sexuality, religion, colour, gender identity, or parental status. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply. If you require any assistance, including a workplace adjustment to participate in the recruitment process please reach out to **@mamamia.com.au.
